... is always more fun than some of these downer things that have been weighing on my mind. And since I've been wondering if anyone out there ever actually reads this, or if this blog is just a wonderfully cathartic yet unseen release for me, I'm thinking about doing a little something fun.
So, since I've fallen in love with the gorgeous artwork at The Mandala Journey (themandalajourney.com) and may have a bit of a shopping habit there on occasion, I would be ecstatic to give away a sweet pendant. I haven't put enough time or thought into this to actually post a picture of the pendant, but I promise it will be both lovely and meaningful.I will post a picture of the actual necklace soon!
To enter, post a comment below about why you would (or wouldn't!) follow a "birthy" blog... and if you have any posts you've found especially profound; if you "like" OneDeliciousDelivery on Facebook, twitter (@hebammema), and/or share this on Facebook, you can receive an extra entry for each. Winner will be drawn 2/28.
{{ if, really, anyone is reading --- comments, criticism, suggestion would be lovely. we are not alone! :) }}
Ooh, I love giveaways and those pendants in particular. Well, I follow lots of birthy blogs (and write one too). Just can't help myself, I guess.
ReplyDeleteRixa, I love your blog! I'm ashamed that I have not followed as closely as I would like (I haven't done *anything* as much as I would have liked for the past year... this working full-time really cramps a person's style...) but will never forget the beauty and power of Inga's birth story. Thank you for sharing it and the rest of your wisdom with us all! <3 many blessings with #4!
DeleteI have been reading for a couple of months-hi! I definitely like "birthy" blogs. I am trying to figure out my own career path in the maternal/child health field, so the perspectives of real practitioners are so valuable. And I think those pendants are pretty great :)
ReplyDeletethanks alex e --- it's great to know you're out there! happy searching in the career field -- there are soooo many paths out there, which is both a blessing and a curse! ;)
DeleteI love your birthy blog...because you are an inspiration to me (a future CNM). Your passion is shown through your words and brings each birth story to life for all of us who tune in. So many of your posts are my favorite so it's hard to pick....but my favorite are those that make me excited and light the fire and desire to effect lives and be part of so many amazing birth journeys, which are almost all of them ;) .
ReplyDeleteKeep posting please!
thanks Justina --- i'm so amazed that even after the longest weeks, the shortest nights (sleep-wise!), and the most trying labors... each birth journey really is as amazing as the very first ones that I attended.
DeleteI hope it never changes!!
As a SNM I benefit greatly from the stories and the experiences that you deliver on your blog. Thank you.
ReplyDelete:D thanks elizabeth!!
DeleteFascinated by birth and now looking after a three moth old five days a week for ten hours intrigues me even more. So I read and read and read at night. You have just been added to my Google Reader subscriptions and I will keep up and catch up with your archives as I am able.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
